Creating Multiple Partnership Projects By Ken Schulte
Does forming a business with a partner make you wince? It has for me in the past. I am sure we have all been burned one way or another. One of the best ways to become successful is to surround yourself with good people. Hopefully those people have talents that are not your strong point. That would be the most ideal of situations. Generally in business you try to make business "partners" with other companies or solutions that make you work smarter or better. Let's take a look at a technique I have used that is working quite well.
First of all this is a three man project. Why? Well it just sort of happened that way. But here is how this is put together. First you have three people that have different specialties. That is key, if everyone one did exactly the same thing, you would not need each other. Our partnership has a web programmer/developer/engineer, an SEO specialist (search engine optimization) and an idea man with a business background. Each person brings a unique talent that helps move the group forward. A lot of times you can get stuck on individual items that may take weeks to figure out. The solution of the multiple partnership is that each person takes a set of goals and accomplishes them thus moving the project at three times normal speed. Second, you have to like each other. Spending time with each other should be a bonus if you like what you do and who you are with.
Setting up shop
You can work as a partnership to accomplish a goal that benefits each individual without any penalty to the group. What I mean is this. We take the strengths of each person to form profitable websites and build them from the ground up. Each person has their own sites that they personally receive income from. Each person working collectively helps the individuals. The partnership groups takes two to three percent to keep it running and operating as a legal entity.
Networking times three
Think of all the contacts you have business wide. Now take that times three and your opportunities for success increase exponentially. You can benefit from drop shipping arrangements, shipping arrangements, manufactures, import agreements, and logistics experts. Each person may be successful in their own right but when you combine forces you take advantage of business experience and techniques. It's very similar to a powerful network group.
Hire and sub
The next step is somewhat surprising to most people and it's the smartest way to move forward at an aggressive pace. Hire out or sub out work that is mundane and takes away from the real talent of the group. Working on logo's, posting content and linking strategies all have to be done but all take time. Add in shipping if you're Ecommerce based and you have a recipe for a full day. You can post significant results by using the power of Elance and other utilities to find talent that is willing to work on time consuming items.
Hopefully this article will have stirred you to action or at least provoked some thoughts that become action items.
